Children should listen to the story from the elders in their home and practice repeating it so that the memory of children can be sharpened. Through stories children are familiar with new words and their words are better pronounced.
Reading
Students should read one story or poem daily from their textbooks. House members should be present while reading. Pay attention to the purity of the pronunciation. Discover the meaning of new words, forward the story, discuss or question the story, put yourself as the character of the story and act on the story.
Writing
Write the meaning of the new words in the story. Children at home with the help of elder brother-sister or neighbours, please write a page in Hindi and English daily. Along with this, practice writing one page Hindi and one page English daily.
One minute of game
Children can enhance their understanding of words in a minute of play. Check how many words all children can read and understand in a minute. All children can play this game by looking at time on watch or mobile.
Children can also play related games to learn maths. Like shape recognition game children can check their home with other family members by identifying their shape with items like utensils, fruits, vegetables, etc.
Jatav quoted that such activities will improve the child's pronunciation, increase his dictionary and also increase his confidence.
