In week-long celebrations of Environment week on
Bio-Diversity for Sustainable Development organised by Jimmy McGilligan Centre
for Sustainable Development, eminent Speakers with lifelong knowledge and
hands-on experience of Biodiversity will address challenges of climatic change and
advise solutions.
Padma Bhushan Dr Anil Joshi from Uttarakhand, will be chief
guest for on World Environment Day on at 6 pm June 5 discussing ‘Our Might
Earth and Bio Diversity’.
“Our week-long seminar will be inaugurated via FB Live on
May 31, 2020 at 5 pm by the global biodiversity advocate Dr Vandana Shiva as
the Chief Guest,” Padma Shri Janak Palta McGilligan said. She added that due to
lockdown, her annual environment week seminar has gone online for the first
time.
“Ever since I attended Earth Summit in Rio De Janeiro in
1992, I have never missed organising the World Environment Day with the
objective to save the Environment seeking participation of larger numbers of
people of all ages to become more sensitive, consult and come out with an
action plan to be implemented by the people collaborating with government, private,
NGO’s, educational institutions, and social activists,” Janak said.
