Pre-examination Psychological counselling will begin from Feb 1 for students attempting class X/XII CBSE (central board of secondary education) examination 2019-20. The facility will continue till March 30, while they are appearing for exams.
This special facility is designed as part of the board’s outreach programme which caters to the heterogeneous students’ and parent’s population and vast geographical network of schools in and outside India.
CBSE helpline counsellor Jaydep Kar said, “CBSE has included IVRS and live tele-counselling facility for students, which will help students resolve their pre-examination jitters.”
The Board has made the facility of IVRS free of cost on Toll free number 1800 11 8004. In addition to IVRS, live tele-counselling will be provided on the same toll free number by 95 Principals and trained counsellors from within CBSE affiliated schools located in and outside India (22).
The service is provided from 8 AM to 10 PM on all days.
