Central Board of Secondary Education advised
schools to introduce few cooking classes as part of “culinary art” for classes
6 to 8. Following the same, many schools have adopted the practice and taken a
step towards transforming the system.
Taking another step ahead of the advice, a
concept of teaching fathers to cook was introduced in "Papa banao Dadi/
Nani ki recipe".
The event was organised at Podar Jumbo
kids, Vijayanagar Branch with children, fathers and grandmothers.
They prepared nutritional healthy food,
gave them unique names like Sprouts Train, Kidee Kaju Katli, Dry fruit
lollipop, Coconut ladoo, smile sandwich, chatpata cucumber, crispy corn sticks
etc. and enjoyed each other's recipes in the end.
The experience was shared by fathers and it
left them amazed. “First, cooking is not easy, but actually relaxing and
healing,” Rakesh Sharma, father of Swara, said.
“Cooking with your little daughter can give
us some valuable insight for life, cooking and basic household tasks are must
for every son as well,” Vijay Patil, father of Arnavi, said.
“Participating in such activities gives me
hope that we will have a stronger and better nation, where every man will
understand and respect women,” Aditya Jain, father of Arsh, said.
Headmistress Isha Singh awarded
certificates to all participants.
