CBSE Class XII Board Examination 2019-20: Computer Science and Informatics Practices; How to prepare?

Computer Science (CS) and Informatics Practices (IP) is a very demanding and scoring subject. It requires rigorous programming practice and clarity of program. This year many students will write paper in Python language in CS and IP subjects.
In order to score well, students should understand the paper pattern properly and prepare accordingly. Savita Saluja, computer science and informatics practices teacher, explains the pattern and guides students on preparing for the subject to score well in upcoming board examinations.
MCQs can be more scoring
Students should prepare their mind according to the new pattern balancing time and energy to attempt both theoretical and programming questions.
To score marks in MCQs (multiple choice questions), students should read the chapter thoroughly and understand the programming concept based on that chapter.
Scoring becomes easy in MCQs, Fill in the blanks, True or False Section. True or False Section should always be supported with the reason. This year CBSE has changed the pattern of the question paper byincreasing number of choices, Adding Multiple choice questions which has made paper more scoring.
Common Mistakes of Students
Not giving Proper indentation in Python Programs.
Not making Proper format of MySQL command and output related query.
Not writing proper syntax and position of clauses in MySQL.
Not making ruff work and steps on the same page in case of output related questions.
Not writing syntax and example while writing definitions and difference.
Tips to resolve mistakes & Score Full Marks
In CS and IP generally student has sufficient time of three hours to write the paper
CS and IP paper is designed in such a way that they can write all programs and theory before time so they should utilise the time to cross check the answers and programs.
They should prepare slicing very nicely.
Students should solve the Latest Sample Paper provided by the Board which give them idea about level ofquestions and difficulty level of the paper.
Students should wisely use their 15minutes reading time. Theyshould go through all the choice question and decide whichquestion they are going to attempt and should think dry run of output related questions.
Students should show steps to bring the desire output where it is required.
As time is not less so they should try to solve one question with its all subpart in sequence.

Christian holiday of Pentecost, which is celebrated the 49th day (the seventh Sunday) after Easter Sunday, will be celebrated on May 31 this year. The holiday commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of Jesus Christ.
