On Fitness Day, Fit India Ambassador city's Fitness Freak Aarti Maheshwari discussed about fitness during fitness awareness campaign with professionals from different fields in various parts of the city.
Aarti said, “Having good health is very important for good life and good health means to always be active and do regular exercise.” She suggested the following tips for professionals to stay healthy:
• 8 to 10 thousand steps must be followed in a day.
• Perform stretching exercises periodically.
• Use stairs instead of lift.
• Drink 2.5 liters of water every day.
• Drink less tea or coffee, green tea is a better option.
• Avoid eating unhealthy food or junk food on the canteen of the work place and have fruits, buttermilk etc.
• Walk or run for at least 2 km daily in addition to your daily routine.
• Avoid overeating.
• Check your BMI regularly.
• Make sure to get general health check up once a year.
