An artist from Indore, Govind Vishwas has prepared a set of artworks recycling art materials, which has been selected in upcoming international recycling art show at South Korea. His artworks alongside world renowned artists would be displayed in the Gangneung Art Gallery from October 7 to 13.
“Art is the medium to send a message, but we are using art materials which are affecting the environment negatively,” Vishwas said. Hence, he came up with the idea of recycling previous products and media forms.
“Most mix-media artworks use plastics, but instead, I replace it with rubber, which is biodegradable,” Vishwas said. The concepts in his artworks depict how plastic has entangled our lives.
“One of my painting shows how plastics enwraps even a free bird and how harmful truly plastic is to every life form, including humans, birds, fishes, mammals, etc,” Vishwas said.
