A 13-year-old writer Arham Banthia launched his first book
at Jal Sabhagrah on Sunday. Arham is a teenager fascinated with dinosaurs like
many others after watching the series of movies of ‘Jurassic Park’. He is studying
in a private school in Dewas.
His mother Prakrati Banthia is a homemaker and father Ankur
Banthia is an industrialist. The book written by him is titled, My Jurassic
Adventure, and is inspired by his imagination. Jitu Patwari, minister of higher
education, launched the book and appreciated his efforts.
Ques: How did you come with idea of writing a book?
Arham: I am a fan of JK Rowling since I read the series of
books of Harry Potter. Inspired by her, I wanted to write.
Ques: What is your book about?
Arham: My book is about dinosaurs. Two teenage boys, one is
me, get stuck fighting dinosaurs in Jurassic Park and the story is how we come
out of the park. It is a 34 page book with illustrations.
Ques: What was the difficult part about writing the book?
Arham: I had to study and research about various dinosaurs.
I studied five to six dinosaurs, their look, characteristics and added those
observations to the book.
Ques: When did you write the book?
Arham: I wrote this book in 5 days starting from July 31,
2006, which Rowling’s birthday. I got it published now after publisher assigned
illustrator, editor, etc.
Ques: What else do you enjoy?
Arham: I like studying science, mathematics, space and
history. I am a voracious reader. I also like playing football and badminton.
