More than 2 lakh in India, third highest in MP career-related suicides  Give students a gap year, work jobs before college can lower career-related suicides Almost 2 lakh (1,70,924) suicides are reported in a year in India due to professional or career problems. Madhya Pradesh recorded the third highest of such suicides in the country at 15,386 preceded by Maharashtra (22,746) and Tamil Nadu (19,834), as noted in NCRB’s latest report. A large number of these professionals were employees that were stuck in a job that they didn’t like. No room for excuses, age-limit criteria for admissions There will be no room for errors and excuses in school admissions considering age criteria in the current and upcoming academic sessions, as Madhya Pradesh school education department has issued strict guidelines quoting minimum age for admission in pre-primary and primary classes as per the National Education Policy (NEP). Schools in Indore circulated and reinforced the order in the association, as many private schools usually excuse deficiency of a few months and admit the student in pre-primary classes. “As per the new order, to get enrolment in nursery, a child must have attained the minimum age of three years and must not be older than four years and six months,” Gopal Soni, patron of MP Private School Association, said.
